Engagement and bridal and baby showers, oh my!
It’s no secret that April is shower season—and for good reason. Here in Texas, the bluebonnets are blooming, birds are chirping, and the weather averages at a sunny 75 degrees!
Shower season really entails everything from baby to bridal and everything in between. It’s my favorite season as a charcuterie business owner because I get to be inventive with my graze offerings to fit each shower theme and aesthetic. Plus, the perfect weather allows for indoor and outdoor setup options.
Do you have the privilege of being the Maid of Honor?
Is your best friend having a baby?
Are you wanting to host a surprise engagement party for your life-long friend?
If you answered yes to any of the above, here are my top 3 tips to help your shower be a success:
1. Have a final headcount of attendees prior to placing your Gifts of Graze order. Hostess rule #1, don’t let your guests leave hungry! Having the final headcount will allow our team to curate an ideal spread for your attendees.
2. Be aware of timing. Hosting an 11:00 am shower? Guests will come hungry expecting a heavier brunch offering. Hosting at 2:00 pm? Attendees will have already eaten lunch, so food offerings should only include light bites and refreshments.
3. Have fun! Hosting can be overwhelming. Prep what you can prior to the shower so the day of is as stressless as possible. When your guests arrive sit back, relax, and enjoy the party! The dishes can wait.
